Style 2042 - Kevlar® Packing with PTFE Suspensoid and premium Silicone oil
Phelps Style 2042 is Centerlock® braided from Kevlar®, thoroughly impregnated with PTFE suspensoid and a premium grade Silicone lubricant. This pump packing has exceptional abrasion resistance, high tensile strength, and out performs PTFE. Kevlar® has the highest tensile strength of any fiber and possesses excellent resistance to high temperature and chemicals.
This packing is uniquely suitable to handle abrasive media in wide range of industries: waste water & sewage pumps, pumps for slurry and mining, dewaxing units, mud pumps in oil drilling, mine dewatering pumps.
