What are the best materials for NEMA enclosures?

There are various kinds of NEMA enclosures for different use-cases. Please find below the Types of NEMA enclosures. Type 1: Basic, indoor enclosure, protects from dust and falling dirt. Type 2: Indoor enclosure, protects against dust, falling dirt, light splashing of water. Type 3: Indoor and Outdoor enclosure, protects against windblown dust and falling dirt, protects against water (rain, sleet, snow and effects of ice formation). Type 4: Indoor and Outdoor enclosure, protects against windblown dust and falling dirt, protects against water (rain, sleet, snow, splashing water and hose directed water) and effects of ice formation. Type 5: Indoor and outdoor enclosure, protects against falling dirt, settling airborne dust, lint, fibers and flying debris. Also protects against water (rain, sleet, snow, splashing water and hose directed water) and effects of ice formation. Type 6: Indoor and outdoor enclosure, protects against falling dirt. Also protects against high velocity and volume of water (water hose, and the entry of water during submersion at a limited depth) and effects of ice formation. Type 12: Indoor enclosure, protects against falling dirt, settling airborne dust, lint, fibers. Also protects against water (dripping and light splashing). Type 13: Indoor enclosure, protects against falling dirt, settling airborne dust, lint, fibers and flying debris. Also protects against water (dripping and light splashing). Some protection against spraying/splashing/seepage of oil and coolants. Materials Types Recommended for each of these NEMA Scenarios and use-cases Type:2: Microcellular Open Cell foams, or Closed Cell foams, Closed Cell sponges Type 3: Closed cell foams, or Closed Cell sponges Type 4: Closed cell foams, or Closed Cell sponges Type 5: Closed cell foams, or Closed Cell sponges Type 6: Closed cell foams, Closed Cell sponges, low-to-medium Duro elastomers/rubber Type 12: Microcellular Open Cell foams, or Closed Cell foams, Closed Cell sponges Type:13: Closed Cell sponge with the right corresponding chemical compatibility
